Memories
Debra Ibbotson

Stan was a business associate I met when working at Scherer Buick Pontiac Isuzu in North Pekin, IL.
He was our forms rep.  It was always a pleasure to work with Stan.  He was always very friendly and
went out of his way to do a great job and keep us supplied with everything we needed.

I always enjoyed his visits and his talk about his wife and family.  I could tell he loved you very much and was very proud of all of his family.

Cousin Stan....In the years 1975-76 Stanley and I spent alot of time together.I have fond memories of driving the countryside in his Grand Prix with the driver seat that swiveled out or Grandma Schniepp's Rambler with the nash seats. Stan,Mark and I making hamburgers smothered in Lowry's in the kitchen on Fayette. Listening to David Allen Coe and Kris Kristofferson. Sitting on that great screened in porch and watching the traffic go by. I will never forget the times we had together....God I hope he knows how cool I thouhgt he was. Rest In Peace my friend!
Mike Schniepp

Stanley’s company "Legacy" was more than a name to him; it was part of him.  The family spent the afternoon going through pictures he had taken or found or created.   What we found were very few pictures of him, but volumes of pictures of all of us.  Memories going back to times that would have been forgotten.  Memories of family that have long since gone.  Memories that some of us can remember and some beyond our time.   Memories that he categorized,  labeled,  kept and fiddled with to make us laugh, cry, or just be amazed at the his creative genius.   More than a lifetime of Memories created; untold hours of his time spent; preserving a legacy of love for us.  Stanley will be missed but never forgotten.  His memory is in all of our hearts and will not be lost due to a crashed hard drive.  His love of family, his ethics, his humor, his creativity will live on through all that have been fortunate to have known him and loved him.  God will honor his legacy. His family will honor his legacy.  As Pam has said- there are angels cracking up because of Stanley right now.  As Laura has said- who else could make Velcro shoes cool.  We all have our memories that we will celebrate over the next couple of days and I'm sure along with the tears there will be lots of laughter because- he wouldn’t have it any other way.  What I hold on to myself and for the family is the bible verse that is inscribed on a picture in a basket as you leave Stan and Kathy’s home. One that is hard for us to understand at a time like this,  but it is one of Gods promises to  we believers –“For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you,  plans to give you hope and a future. “Jeremiah 29:10-12.  We don’t understand but we have a loving God who does.  The verse that I shared with Jacob that has always been my “go to” verse when there is doubt, confusion, and fear is Psalm 23. We were all blessed to have Stanley in our lives and we can sing Gods praises for that.
